Uganda – UCC warns against the use of Network repeaters “Boosters” due to interference

UCC warned through, a public notice published on July 26th, against the unauthorized used of boosters on mobile networks and their effect on the quality of service.

UCC also informs that it will take enforcement actions starting on August 1st 2021.

On Tuesday  April 14th, Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni announced that the lockdown would be extended for 21 more days, until May 5th; as a measure to avoid more Covid-19 infections.

Realtime partner in Uganda informed us that Uganda Communications Comission, UCC would be operational during this extended lockdown. But as they reduced the number of staff on the premises, work process is expected to slow down considerably.

Uganda government has announced a 14 day lockdown in the country as one of many measures aiming to limit the spread of Covid-19 infections.

Nevertheless, UCC, Uganda’s regulatory authority is  declaring  it is  still  operational but service will slow down considerably.
