Saudi Arabia – CITC publishes public consultation on Fixed Radio Service: Frequency Allocation and Use Regulations for wireless links

CITC seeks to re-allocate all frequency bands used in wireless links in   (point-to-point and point-to-multipoint), and to update the licensing mechanism of the wireless links in  fixed radio service ; that is to enhance spectrum efficiency and avoid any harmful interference between users.

SAUDI ARABIA: CITC Launched a call for comment on Exposure to Electromagnetic Fields (EMF)

CITC is developing a Regulation under the Telecommunications Act entitled “Exposure to Electromagnetic Fields (EMF)”. The Regulation establishes minimum requirements for the protection of the public and workers from risks to their health arising or likely to arise from their exposure to RF fields in the frequency range 8.3 KHz to 300 GHz.

Participants wishing to present their comments in this Public Consultation must submit these in writing to CITC no later than Sep 01, 2021.

Saudi Arabia CITC updates the list of the technical specifications

CICT previously called for comments on the new drafts of the technical specifications on March 3rd 2021.

On July 10th, CITC finalized the consultation process by publishing the the list of new valid technical specifications.

CITC Saudi Arabia : Public Consultation on “Radio Spectrum Allocation and Use Regulation for WLAN Applications”.

The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) ISSUED  a public consultation on ​“Radio Spectrum Allocation and Use Regulation for WLAN Applications”. The document proposes updates to the current usage conditions in license exempt and light licensing modes for all the following bands  WLAN bands
  • 2400-2483.5MHz
  • 5150-5350 MHz
  • 5470-5725 MHz
  • 5725-5875MHz
  • 5925-7125 MHz
  • 57-71 GHz

 Saudi Arabia – CITC publishes preliminary public consultation on Spectrum Auction 2021

CITC Saudi Arabia is preparing a spectrum auction in the second half of 2021 which will include spectrum in the following bands: • 600 MHz FDD; • 700 MHz FDD (723 - 733 / 778 - 788 MHz); • 700 MHz SDL; • 1980 - 2010 / 2170 - 2200 MHz FDD; and • 3800-4000 MHz TDD. • 2x5 MHz each in the 410 - 430 MHz and 450 - 470 MH The purpose of this preliminary consultation is to obtain initial views from the industry on key topics that will help shape our thinking on the design of the award. The closing date for this consultation is July 8th 2021
