Jordan TRC issues RLAN guidelines (Including WIFI 6E)

After issuing a draft in October 2021, TRC issued the final RLAN regulation on April 13th 2022.

The new regulation confirms the following bands as allowed:

2400-2483.5 MHz , 100 mW , Indoor & Outdoor

5150-5350 MHz, 200 mW , Indoor & Outdoor

5470-5725 MHz, 1W , Indoor Only

5725-5875MHz , 200mW Indoor only

5925-6425 MHz 200mW Indoor, 25mW Outdoor

57-71 GHz – TRC has allowed this band to be used with 40 dBm Max EIRP provided that TX power shall not exceed 27 dBm.

Jordan, TRC released a draft regulation on RLAN bands (including WIFI 6E)

After showing interest, in December 2020, in allowing 6GHz bands for WIFI 6E, On October 12th 2021, TRC published a final draft (Arabic only) of the proposed RLAN regulation and gives 30 days to stakeholders to comment.

Jordan TRC shows intent for WIFI 6E

On December 6th 2020, TRC published a consultation on the possibility to make available frequencies in the 5,925 -7,125 MHz band for unlicensed use by WIFI 6E technology

Jordan is set to impose a countrywide round-the-clock curfew to fight against the coronavirus pandemic, barring people from moving except for emergencies, the government said. In a televised statement on Friday, government spokesman Amjad Adaileh said the curfew in the Middle Eastern country will start at 7am (05:00 GMT) on Saturday march 21th  and will remain in force until further notice.
