Guinea: ARPT intentions to build a certification lab

Through a tender issued in May 2022, ARPT showed its intention to acquire testing tools that will allow verification of WWAN, WiFi and other SRD devices.

The Authority has always been asking for a sample but for visual inspection only. Now, It seems that the plan is to move to in-country testing but no timeline has been announced yet

Guinea Coup, Impact on Ongoing Applications

A military group seized power in Guinea on Sunday Sept 6th, detained the President of the Republic and announced the suspension of the political institutions. Realtime verified that administrative institutions like ARPT, customs… are not suspended and it is believed they will return back to normal work shortly.

Guinea changes the fee structure for type approval

Through a new order dated on July 21st 2021, Guinea changed the fee structure for type approval services. The fees are still depending on the category of the device but are much more higher in average for several items.

Guinea: ARPT : Emergency state extended until May 15

ARPT announced on their website on April 20th that there would be an extension of the state of emergency until May 15 and that they would be implementing additional protective measures in order to prevent Covid-19 infections. Therefore, ARPT will be on minimum service as working days are mondays, wednesdays and Fridays.The rest of week, employees will be working from home.
