A military group seized power in Guinea on Sunday Sept 6th, detained the President of the Republic and announced the suspension of the political institutions. Realtime verified that administrative institutions like ARPT, customs… are not suspended and it is believed they will return back to normal work shortly.

Guinea changes the fee structure for type approval

Through a new order dated on July 21st 2021, Guinea changed the fee structure for type approval services. The fees are still depending on the category of the device but are much more higher in average for several items.

Guinea: ARPT : Emergency state extended until May 15

ARPT announced on their website on April 20th that there would be an extension of the state of emergency until May 15 and that they would be implementing additional protective measures in order to prevent Covid-19 infections. Therefore, ARPT will be on minimum service as working days are mondays, wednesdays and Fridays.The rest of week, employees will be working from home. Guinea : ARTP in quarantine, expected to resume on April 20

Realtime partner in Guinea has informed us that their regulatory authority, ARTP is currently in a 14-day quarantine which is expected to end on April 20. ARTP is not operational for the moment.

Guinea ARPT: Deadline 15 of May to comply with Type Approval obligations

On 2 May 2018, ARPT published a press release reminding all importers of radio and Telecom devices of their obligations regarding type approval.

All importers have been given until 15 of May 2018 to comply which such obligations.

ARPT will be conducting market surveillance to crack fown on non approved and/or contrefeit devices. Importers that will be found non compliant should face penalties as defined in applicable regulation.
