Morocco ANRT updates National Frequency Plan

Updated National Frequency Plan (NFP) has been published on the 6 April 2018 official gazette following Decision N°12-18 of Head of Moroccan Government.

NFP is updated regularly after each World Radio-communication Conference.  The previous version of NFP was published on September 2016.

Kenya: Guideline on the use of devices in IoT

on 20th April 2018, Kenya Communication Authority published new guidelines for use of devices in IoT.

According to this guideline, Type approval applications of eSIM based devices are now processed by CA and are required to comply to GSMA RSP Architecture
Version 2.014 of October 2016 and its successors.

Colombia ANE publishes a consultation for unlicensed band

ANE, Agencia Nacional del Spectro ANE has published in 5th of April a public consultation related to the update of unlicensed radio spectrum of Colombia.
Interested parties should respond to a questionnaire and submit it by email to comentarios@ane.gov.com

CANADA: Consultation RSS-220, Issue 1, Amendment 1, – Devices Using Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Technology

The Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is seeking comments on the consultation of RSS-220, Issue 1, Amendment 1 “Devices Using Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Technology”.  This amendment sets out the transition period for the certification, manufacture, importation, distribution, lease, offer for sale or selling of vehicular radar devices using ultra-wideband technology in the 22 29 GHz frequency band.

CANADA: Consultation ICES-GEN, Issue 1, February 2018 – General Requirements for Compliance of Interference-Causing Equipment

The Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is seeking comments on the consultation of ICES-GEN Issue 1 “General Requirements for Compliance of Interference-Causing Equipment”. This standard sets the general requirements applicable to interference-causing equipment.
