Malawi : Three-week lockdown until May 9

In order to limit the spread of Coronavirus, Malawi has implemented a three week lockdown starting from April 18.

President Peter Mutharika announced on Tuesday, at a news conference with Health Minister Jappie Mhango that there would be a lockdown lasting until May 9.

All non-essential businesses and services would cease. However MACRA, Malawi’s regulatory authority is expected to still be operational, but with minimal service.
