Kuwait CITRA: WIFI user registration and Frequency bands

On 2 February 2018, The Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority in Kuwait, published a regulation  on WIFI usage. The regulation details the approval scheme for Wifi hotspots owners and their obligations regarding user registration.

The regulation also list frequency bands used by Wifi in Kuwait as follows:

Technical Requirements:

Frequency band Radiated power Standards Remarks
2400 – 2483.5 Mz 100 mW Maximum mean E.I.R.P or

10 mW/MHz in any 1 MHz band

EN 300 328 Channel 1 to 13 can be used
5150 – 5250 Mhz 200 mW Maximum mean E.I.R.P or

10 mW/MHz in any 1 MHz band

EN 301 893  
5250 – 5350 Mhz 100 mW Maximum mean E.I.R.P or

10 mW/MHz in any 1 MHz band

EN 301 893 DFS and TPC are mandatory
5470 – 5725 Mhz 500 mW Maximum mean E.I.R.P or

50 mW/MHz in any 1 MHz band

EN 301 893 DFS and TPC are mandatory
5725 – 5825 Mhz 500 mW Maximum mean E.I.R.P or

50 mW/MHz in any 1 MHz band

EN 301 893 DFS and TPC are mandatory
